Ai crane

Ai crane is a motorized crane that can be controlled with buttons or can drive around and avoid walls by using the ultra sonic sensor.
It is 20” long 6” wide it is 9.5” tall  when the boom is down, when the boom  is up it is 16.5”.

It has 8 wheels 4 in the back and 4 in the front.

                                                              This is the chassis.

Wires, front and fenders added.

This crane lifts objects with a piece of thread that is strung through the holes in the LEGO pieces.

The thread is attached to a separate motor, switch and power supply.

                                                                  How it works:

This robot has two programs, the first one uses a color sensor to decide if there is a green ball in front of the sensor if there is then the left and right button on the NXT device move the boom up and down if there is not a green ball than it uses two touch sensors to move the vehicle forward and backward and the left and right buttons on the NXT to steer the 4 front tires.

This is what the crane looks like from a LEGO person point of view.

This is a movie of Ai crane avoiding walls.

This is a movie of Ai crane picking up a package.

Here is a pole.
Which way dose the piece with the arrow pointing to it look better?
